By submitting images for publication on Lucida’s online space you are stipulating to us that you own copyright to these images and text or have permission from the copyright holder to submit these images. You are granting Lucida a non-exclusive license to use the images in their submitted form, subject to resizing to fit the magazine formats, for publication on the Lucida website and in any other form of communication (including social media, magazines, platforms for art opportunities and events) to promote the photographers’ work for as long as the website exists. The artists’ names will always be mentioned next to their respective images. Please note that back issues of Lucida may remain available in the archive for as long as the website exists. If an image is used as a cover for one of the magazine issues you are granting Lucida permission to use it for promotion on sites such as facebook.com, instagram.com and to put the Lucida logo on it.

You represent and warrant that your submissions are an original work of authorship and do not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. If the content of your submissions is claimed to constitute infringement of any proprietary or intellectual property rights of a third party, you shall, at your sole expense, defend or settle such claims.

Each person depicted in the images has granted permission to be portrayed as shown. It is the entrant’s responsibility to obtain appropriate written permission from people or owners of property that are identifiable in their photographs.

Photos that portray or otherwise include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including violence, human rights and/or environmental violations, or any content deemed to be contrary to the law, will be immediately discarded.

None of the photographs may be downloaded, stored, printed, manipulated, distributed, or used in any form without prior written permission from the copyright holder. Works published on this website are protected under domestic and international copyright laws and are not considered to be public domain.

Take-down (unpublish) requests
